Greetings from the Gamma Nu Zeta Chapter!
Gamma Nu Zeta Chapter is the “Mother Pearl of New Jersey”, an awe-inspiring example of the excellence that Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded. We exemplify the ideals that this great sorority was founded upon at Howard University on January 16, 1920. We have been serving Camden County for over 60 Years and have been doing so with pride and accomplishment. We were charted in Camden on March 26, 1948 at the Macedonia A.M.E. Church. The trailblazing women who chartered the first NJ chapter were Catherine Johnson of Princeton, Evelyn Ellerbee of Princeton, Jeanne Lewis of Millville, Katherine Basselieu Ross of Delaware, and Inez Brooks of Camden.
Through the years, Gamma Nu Zeta Chapter has become the trendsetter and pacemaker of the county, state and region. We are on the forefront of the state of New Jersey, holding many elected positions in the sorority. We also have an elected officer in the Atlantic Region. The leadership abilities of the women of Gamma Nu Zeta Chapter do not stop at the walls of Zeta, but push through to professional, community and personal endeavors.
It is my hope that you find this website full of inspiring information! If you are apart of this wonderful organization and chapter, you should feel proud. If you are not, let this be the spark that brings you into the light of this magnificent organization focused on Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service and Finer Womanhood.
Warmly,
Tiffany Harris-Greene
