Chapter Heritage

Chartered in Newark.
Rooted ever since.

Gamma Nu Zeta was chartered in 1948 by a small circle of educators and civic leaders determined that Zeta's principles would take permanent root in New Jersey. What began around a dining-room table became the state's enduring graduate chapter — the Mother Pearl.

Generations later, the chapter still measures itself the same way: by the students it sends to college, the families it steadies, and the sorors who keep coming home.

Sisterhood

A bond chartered in 1948 and renewed every year since.

Sisterhood here is practical: mentorship across generations, sisters who show up for one another, and a chapter culture that makes reclamation feel like coming home.
